Sunday night small groups begin April 7. This segment will run for 5 weeks through May 5. They will serve many purposes, including:

• Building relationships - Small groups help people build strong relationships with each other. They also help people build confidence and feel more comfortable sharing with one another.
• Encouraging faith - Small groups encourage people to explore the Bible and their faith together. They also help people celebrate life's accomplishments  and rejoice when God answers prayers.
• Being a safe space - Small groups are a safe place where participants can support one another without trying to "fix" one another.

Sunday Small Groups you can join are:

• The Treasure Principle - led by Pastor Brock - meets in the large room in the basement across from bathrooms - time: 5:00 p.m. The purpose of this group is to learn from the world's foremost financial consultant, Jesus Christ, who advised listeners to "store up for yourselves treasures in heaven" (Matthew 6:20). This group will learn Randy Alcorn’s “the Treasure Principle mindset” illustrated in the key truth: "God owns everything.” Giving infuses life with joy and it interjects an eternal dimension into even the most ordinary day. Cost of book: $10.

• Women’s Ministry: When You Pray - A Study of Six Prayers in the Bible - led by Hope Shirley - meets in the social hall - time: 5:00 p.m. Do you have trouble thinking of words to say to God when you pray? Do you reach the end of a day only to realize you haven’t prayed at all? You’re not alone. Prayer is the way we relate to God, but sometimes it’s a struggle. Throughout God’s Word, we encounter many voices who teach us how to pray. In this study,  you’ll see examples of how to pray when you’re alone and when you’re gathered with others. Above all, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray. As you draw near to God through prayer, you’ll find your faith strengthened and your heart united to Christ.

• Share Jesus Without Fear - led by Pastor Jeff - meets at 147 Bracken Court, Liberty, SC 29657 - time: 5:00 p.m. This group will explore a simple and relational strategy to share Jesus that emphasizes reliance on God's power for success. This material, which arose from the author's life transformation (a former brothel owner who became a Christian), teaches Christians how to navigate a witnessing conversation in ordinary situations. Contains 36 responses to objections. Share Jesus Without Fear has been used successfully by thousands of congregations over the last decade, making it LifeWay's best-selling evangelistic resource. The study book costs $10.

• Sermon Based Discussion Questions - led by Pastor Carl - meets in young adult building - time: 5:00 p.m. In the spirit of growing in faith and understanding the Gospel, we invite you to a special sermon-based discussion group. Building on the rich insights from the morning's sermon, we will go deeper into the Word, looking at the Biblical themes given and how they might be applied to our lives. This group is a terrific place to come and respond to the morning sermon. Process what God is teaching you. The sermon is more than just a Sunday event; it is a way of life. And we want you to join us on this journey alongside individuals who are just like you.

• Young Families Doing Life Together - led by Austin & Kayla McCown - meets at 106 Browning Heights Way, Central, SC 29630 - time: 6:00 p.m.
In a time when the world seems intent on pulling apart the fabric of the nuclear family, we are excited to launch a new life group focused on doing life together, being authentic and coming together to encourage and support each other. Our group is focused on families as we believe it’s the top area that the world has been attacking christianity. The group will focus on doing Sermon Based Discussion Questions and diving deeper into the Word of God & how we can apply the sermon into our lives. Having gone through many challenges in our walks, we understand that “Community in the body of Christ” is the one thing that helped us pull through several times in our marriage and we’re excited to walk with others by doing life together. The group will have childcare and would like to know how many kids will be attending so we can make accommodations. Each family would be asked to contribute a few dollars if they can, we do not want a cost to keep anyone from being able to attend so please feel free to let us know privately should that be an issue.
